To make this happen, we will donate 2% of each Customer's total sale to the Non-Profits below. While we wish we could support all of the many initiatives, we have chosen three that we feel do their part to help make the world a better place.
The Ocean Cleanup is developing a passive cleanup method, which uses the natural oceanic forces to rapidly and cost-effectively clean up the plastic already in the oceans. With a full fleet of cleanup systems in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, we aim to clean up 50% of its plastic every five years.
Our aim is to remove 90 % of floating ocean plastic, which requires global initiative. With the help and support of individuals, corporations and governments all over the world, we aim to realize the mission and work towards a future where plastic no longer pollutes our oceans.
In Hawai`i, about 1 in 5 people rely on food pantries for assistance. Yet 237,000 tons of food - or 26% of the available food supply - is wasted annually. Aloha Harvest is the largest food rescue and redistribution organization in Hawai`i, getting quality excess food into stomachs instead of landfills.
Free of charge and free of liability, we pick up excess food from 250+ donors and deliver it to 175+ agencies feeding the hungry. Now in our 20th year, we have rescued and redistributed over 23 million pounds of food that would have otherwise been wasted.
